I believe it has just been taken over by new managment as in the past we have always raved about the place and loved the food, service and been regular diners.
But in all honesty the service and information given by a over confident young manager was very annoying and unprofessional- we were told the food had improved...and were given a menu on scraps of paper..that ranged up to £20+ for a poorly cooked chewy steak. We had to send the chunky chips back off two of the four meals because they werent cooked. We were brought more out that were soggy, odd looking and v.dark brown by a cocky young chef smurking and laughing. The mash on my husbands meal had huge uncooked lumps thoughout it and the veg was past its best and left by everyone. The overall experience was terrible and the fact that they couldnt even cook potatoes correctly on any of the plates is scarey...the fact that the quality was shocking and they didnt care, means we will no longer tell people to eat there until the managment changes....and you don't leave feeling you've been robbed and could run the place better yourself.
